8 People Who Got Busted Because Of Facebook

TMI on Facebook may not be a crime, but it can lead to criminals being caught, which is maybe the best reason to encourage it. After all, it makes the world a safer place. Now if only we could get bathroom-related TMI to actually be a crime then Facebook would be a safer place as well. Here’s 8 dummies who got busted because of Facebook.

DUI Dummy

18 year old Jacob Cox-Brown sure thought he was funny when he posted this update on Facebook:

He probably wasn’t laughing after some of his Facebook buddies turned him in and he was charged with two counts of failing to perform the duties of a driver. Unfortuantely, the Facebook post was not sufficient evidence that he was intoxicated. It was sufficient evidence however that Cox-Brown is a dumbass.

Looks Like We’ve Got A Badass Over Here!

After 29 year old Victor Burgos was named one of New York’s most wanted he did what none of us would do in that situation. He went on Facebook and posted this on FB : “Catch me if you can! I’m in Brooklyn.” Because clearly he’s a criminal mastermind. So the police went to Brooklyn and caught him. Thanks, dummy!

Mom of the Year

A 19 year old Florida (yup!) mom was arrested after she posted this picture of her baby holding a bong on FB. She tried to defend herself by posting this FB message to a local CBS news station: “If u look at the picture u can see that there is no bowl in the TABACCO (sic) pipe,” she wrote. “And i took a pic to show one (expletive) person and it was a mistake. I would never ever ever let him get high.” Yeah, I think maybe we should just take the baby from her anyway.

Illegal Poking

Police arrested Tennessee resident Shannon D. Jackson for allegedly violating the terms of an order of protection against her. Jackson violated the order when she ‘poked’ the woman who took out the restraining order on Facebook. This is the only time I’ve ever found a FB poke amusing.

Food Crime

Bahamian authorities apprehended an American couple over a series of Facebook photos they posted that included “catching an iguana, parts of an iguana on a grill, two men eating the iguana pieces, and a man and a woman cleaning what appears to be undersized conch.”  The duo seem to have been clueless that the rare iguana was a protected species. So yeah, whoops.

No Wait…This Is The Mom Of The Year

Denise New of Arkansas was convicted of misdemeanor harassment for going on her son’s FB page and making posts, including this gem “The only mistake I ever made was having a kid.” She was ordered to complete classes for parenting and anger-management. Classes she probably should have taken looooong ago.

Nanny Nanny Boo-Boo!

Craig “Lazie” Lynch escaped from prison, where he was serving time for robbery, and almost immediately started posting FB photos taunting the police. What is wrong with people!?! If I escaped from prison I would, I don’t know…lay low? Needless to say he was busted. Just like a dummy should be.

Too Gross To Make Joke

39 year old John Forehand, using the pseudonym ‘Big Daddy’, was arrested after asking his 13 year old daughter for sex on FB. Forehand told his daughter he had been having “inappropriate” dreams about her, and wrote to her, “I’ll take very good care of my little girl.”Ugh. Life in prison is too good for him.

So don’t you just love dumb criminals? Tell us the dumbest thing you’ve ever done on Facebook in the comments1
