The summer movie season will be in full swing this coming Friday, when Jurassic World hits theaters. The first Jurassic Park film since 2001, World looks ambitious and resonant to the feeling of awe that the first film inspired back in 1993, but when you walk out of the theater, it’s only natural to be curious about what you might go and see next. If your venue for seeing Jurassic World is in an IMAX theater, Marvel Studios hopes to have that question answered before the credits to Jurassic World even begin to roll.
According to Variety, a special sneak peak at Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man will accompany IMAX showings of Jurassic World beginning when that film hits theaters this Friday. The sneak peak is expected to play in front of the Chris Pratt-starring dinosaur blockbuster for the duration of its IMAX theatrical run, which will likely last right up until Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17th. Although Ant-Man in the comics was a founding member of the Avengers in his Hank Pym iteration, the movie will be using Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) in more of a mentor role, with Paul Rudd playing Scott Lang: a later incarnation of the size-shifting superhero.
This will only be the first that we’ll see from the character as well, since we now know that Paul Rudd’s character will be appearing in next year’s Captain America: Civil War, alongside Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Bettany as Vision, Elizabeth Olson as Scarlet Witch, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, and Don Cheadle as War Machine.
