‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Actor Wants Ghost Rider to Fight The Hulk

By September 20, 2016

With the introduction of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in the season premiere, ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could have some much-needed, new fuel injected into it, after steadily separating more and more from the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years, and relying mostly on C-list characters from the comics lore to make appearances throughout it.

Despite some disappointing visual effects though, the anticipation from fans to see Reyes in the series seems to be fairly large right now, after spending years hoping to see the Spirit of Vengeance introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some way. Even if this wasn’t quite how they wanted or expected him to be.

Speaking with Comicbook.com as well though, Luna revealed the big other Marvel hero he’d like to see Ghost Rider take on, if he could:

“You know what I want the Hulk. I’m calling you out right now. I’m calling you out Bruce Banner.”

Now, this won’t ever happen, of course, since Marvel Studios seems hardly interested in having their film characters and the characters in AoS interact at all lately, but from a visual standpoint alone, the idea of seeing Ghost Rider fighting The Hulk onscreen, with a fiery chain, is an exciting one to say the least.

With Johnny Blaze still open to be introduced as well, I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point, we end up seeing the Spirit of Vengeance interact with the Avengers, even if it’s quite some ways down the line from now.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 premieres tonight on ABC.
