Ever since its first season, the CW’s Arrow has not been shy about providing fans with many, many comic book Easter eggs and clues. Now that The Flash has joined the DC TV universe as well, fans have gotten used to watching each episode through a microscope, looking for possible news reports or images that could tease the appearance of some more comic book characters in either show’s futures.

One character that has been teased repeatedly in both The Flash and Arrow has always been Hal Jordan a.k.a. Green Lantern. Whether it be references to Ferris Air (Hal Jordan’s workplace) or the characters discussing Jordan’s hometown of Coast City, it’s always seemed like the iconic character is just right around the corner.

Well, recently, Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim released some new production art for the show’s upcoming fourth season, and the art once again teases Green Lantern’s possible existence in the universe. Check out the official artwork below:

Arrow Coast City Season 4While it’s already well known that the show’s flashbacks will kick off in Coast City at the beginning of season 4, and that’s likely what this promo art is relating to – it’s still cool to see the writers and producers of the series paying homage to this character in such a fun, and unique way. Whether or not this is even more evidence that Green Lantern is coming sooner or later, or just a friendly nod to the character will have to wait to be seen for now though.

With both Arrow and The Flash‘s new seasons promising big things for not only their respective shows, but also the entire cinematic universe in general, it looks like the idea of big names like Hal Jordan appearing is becoming more and more possible. Now that Legends of Tomorrow is set to expand the universe in ways none of the other shows have yet too, we may just see the power of Will manifested on our television screens after all. Wouldn’t that be a dream?

Arrow Season 4 is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 7th on the CW.
