‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ First Four Minutes Available to Watch Now

By October 26, 2015

Fans are finally going to get to see the Evil Dead world return onscreen again with the upcoming Starz Original Series, Ash vs Evil Dead. After years and years of fans hoping for another Evil Dead film too, the series will act as something even better hopefully as audiences can sit down and watch 10 half-hour episodes featuring the return of Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) – just as goofily cocky as ever – as he fights to stop the impending Deadite invasion. Picking up thirty years after the events of Army of Darkness, the new series comes directly from Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, with Raimi himself directing the show’s first episode, which he co-wrote with his brother Ivan Raimi. In anticipation of the premiere this Halloween too, the first four minutes of the series have been made available online for fans to watch, featuring Ash preparing himself for a night on the town. The good news is that he does ending getting some. However, the bad news is that the lady in question might have a stronger supernatural presence inside of her than Ash likely wanted. For anyone of you who might have been skeptical of the series up until this point too, you might not be after watching this:

Here’s the series’ official synopsis:

“Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.”

Just like we might have expected, and the comic-con trailer earlier this year promised, Campbell has slipped right back into Ash like he never even stopped playing the character. Every subtlety and grunt that he adds in the scene seems to fit Ash so well, and I don’t think I’d be wrong in saying he could end up becoming one of the most iconic movie characters of all time. Then again, that could just be me and my undying love of the “Boomstick” monologue in Army of Darkness. Either way, Ash vs Evil Dead looks like a return-to-form for everyone involved. Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere on Starz on October 31st. Make sure to keep checking back for more updates — right here on GeekNation.
