‘Burnt’ Trailer Gives First Look at Bradley Cooper as an Ambitious Chef

By August 13, 2015

As we draw closer and closer to this year’s Oscar movies season, new trailers and titles will begin to pop up more and more for films that audiences will want to watch out for. Some of the more notable awards contenders going into these Fall and Winter months include Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful EightThe RevenantSteve Jobs, and many, many more. However, one project that not a lot of film buffs are aware of yet that has the potential to be one of the best of the year is Bradley Cooper’s newest film, Burnt.

The movie is written by Steven Knight (Locke) and directed by John Wells (August: Osage County) and follows Cooper as Chef Adam Jones, who hit it big in the culinary world when he was younger, only to quickly lose it all. As he begins his newest venture into the food world one more time to try and achieve his dreams, Burnt follows him on his path towards a possible redemption.

The first trailer for the film was released online earlier today (via Yahoo! Movies) and gives audiences their first full look at the movie. Check it out below:

This is easily one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Steven Knight has made a name for himself as one of the best and most unique screenwriters in the film industry today, and it looks like he’s taken the culinary world into depths that have never been explored on the silver screen before.

Cooper looks pitch perfect as always, and is surrounded by an outstanding cast of supporting players including Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina), Daniel Bruhl (Rush), Emma Thompson (Saving Mr. Banks), and more. In a packed year of awards contenders this year too, it’ll be interesting to see how Burnt ends up hitting with audiences. Judging by this trailer though, it looks like one of the most interesting projects of the rest of the year.

Burnt is set to hit theaters on October 23rd!
