Yesterday, the world was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of the late, great Gene Wilder, the man who’s not only known for bringing Willy Wonka to life, but was a blazing force in the world of comedy and cinema for decades. He’s one of those actors, who growing up you just knew his face, even if you weren’t familiar with his work at the time maybe.
It was no surprise then that social media was overflowing with tributes to the actor following his death either. Here are some of the more notable celebrity tributes following Wilder’s death yesterday though, in case his impact on the world wasn’t already evident enough as it is:
