This is not a drill.

Zack Snyder and co. will be at East Los Angeles College to shoot a scene during halftime of ELAC’s football game, and you can be there to experience it for yourself.

East Los Angeles College Campus News (via Latino-Review) confirms that this Saturday, October 19th, Snyder will spend the 20 minute halftime transforming Weingart Stadium into Gotham City University’s home stadium for a game between GCU and their rivals, Metropolis State University, in order to shoot three takes of three plays and actor/crowd reactions to said plays before the second half of the game resumes.

Apparently Snyder decided to use the school’s stadium and shoot during a home game instead of renting the field for the night, and ELAC Event and Venue Coordinator Ernest Burnett couldn’t be more thrilled.

This isn’t ELAC’s first time at the feature film rodeo as the campus is known as a “film-friendly school”, so your fave film just may have had a scene filmed there!

Burnett says, “Our visibility among the film community is higher than a lot of schools and I have to give a lot of credit. The experiences of the people that have come and shot here are very good. Because students know the deal now, like they notice the production truck and then move on to class, it’s more common. Feature films don’t usually use community college campuses, because feature films’ schedules change and we can’t accommodate. But we want their business because they come for weeks not just a day. We want to make a lot of money over a small smaller amount of time.”

Warner Bros. Pictures put out a press release looking for extras but would love it if said extras were actual ELAC students; the first 2,000 seated in the “filming area” get something extra special – a t-shirt designed by Snyder himself AND prizes will be given out throughout the night! Of course, you’ll be wearing Gotham City U’s black and gold in support of the home team!

And if you happen to be one of the lucky ones to attend the filming, cheer for ELAC before and after the shoot!
