‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Poster Throws Chains Around Hell’s Kitchen’s Savior

Marvel's Daredevil

After the incredible first full trailer for the upcoming second season of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix, which gave fans their first real look not only at Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher, but also the antagonistic relationship between he and Matt Murdock. From the looks of it too, it’s safe to say that the two might not be sharing vigilante stories over a couple of beers any time soon.

With Part 2 of the trailer likely going to tease more of Elodie Yung’s Elektra as well, Netflix is beginning to increase their promotion for the highly-anticipated sophomore season.

A new teaser poster for the upcoming season has been revealed as well, and it features Daredevil himself chained up, unable to save the city he’s worked so hard to protect. Check it out below:

Clearly restrained by The Punisher, it’s beginning to look more and more like Matt Murdock may not have only met his intellectual, justice-driven match in Castle, but also his physical. Don’t get me wrong, Vincent D’onofrio’s Kingpin managed to hold his own in a fight as well, but to see someone that’s a highly-skilled fighter and combatant on the same level as Daredevil, makes me think that the fight choreography in this season might be even more stunning than it was in the first, and yeah, I know that’s saying a lot.

Above all else, this poster continues to drive home just how in tune with this character the creative team and marketing behind the show really is, with Murdock struggling against chains to try and save his city, we don’t get superhero movie posters like this one all that often, let alone one for a TV show.

Season 2 of Daredevil will premiere on Netflix on March 18th.
