‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Trailer: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Are the citizens of Hell’s Kitchen ready to face punishment for their sins?

Well, whether they are or not doesn’t matter at this point, as Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/The Punisher has arrived, and he is taking no half-measures. After months and months of teasing and waiting as well, Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil, and not only is it entirely focused on the MCU’s newest anti-hero, but it also features a small glimpse at a certain one of Matt Murdock’s ex-girlfriends.

Check out the official trailer below titled “Part 1″, with the second trailer “Part 2″ set to be unveiled on February 25th:

Honestly, the trailer seems like the beginning of a horror movie more than anything else, and as fans of The Punisher character are probably well-aware, that’s also likely the best way to describe his state of mind a majority of the time – horrifying. Delving slightly into his back story and reason for bringing ruthless justice down upon the villains of Hell’s Kitchen, the trailer has done a fairly spectacular job at setting up the series’ newest antagonist, even if he might not be a full on villain this time around.

After years of bad adaptations and disappointing films, it looks like Frank Castle is finally going to get the onscreen representation he’s always been waiting for. The small tease of Elektra at the end felt slightly tagged on, and there’s not really much to comment on other than the clear apprehension Matt feels towards her, and it’s possible he may already be aware of her more dangerous skills. Even if not, I look forward to seeing how he, and the other returning characters of the show are going to handle the introduction of these new, beloved comic book characters.

Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil is set to premiere on Netflix on March 18th.

Sorry but not impressed, maybe this puts me in the minority but I’m just not seeing “Frank Castle” or “The Punisher” I’m just seeing Shane Walsh and I hated that guy with a passion.

Gotta be honest not really looking forward to 13 more episodes of Shane v DAREDEVIL.
