‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Trailer Teaser Promises The Punisher

By February 14, 2016

After rescuing its title character from previously awful onscreen adaptations, the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil is on its way to redeeming even more beloved comic book characters this time around. Making his onscreen debut alongside Elodie Yung’s Elektra, Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher is probably the main focus for a number of fans going into the new season.

Set to act as the kind of antihero villain that only Frank Castle could actually pull off, his interactions with Matt Murdock already seem interesting, from the previously released images and comments from the series’ showrunners.

Marvel and Netflix have announced that we’ll be getting the new official trailer for the second season of the series tomorrow as well, already teasing the relationship between Murdock and Castle in the new season. Check out the trailer teaser below:

From the minute it was announced that The Punisher would be the villain in this new season, it became clear that the show would touch on the two characters’ differing definitions of justice, and their techniques for doling it out. Already, Bernthal’s version of the character seems to be the most faithful adaptation yet, and the way he kind of fails to balance the line between being ruthless and straight up insane, should prove to be an interesting, but similar contrast to Murdock’s blurred ethical lines.

Season 2 of Daredevil will premiere on Netflix on March 18th.
