What happens when a former high school jock-turned-accountant is hit up by an old classmate who was bullied and humiliated all through high school but is now a CIA contract killer, who needs the accountant’s help to thwart a plot to sell classified military intel?

A new buddy cop film called Central Intelligence is going to tell us.

Oh, and did I mention the jock-turned-accountant is played by Kevin Hart and the bullied classmate is none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? Oh, YEAH. I know you can smell what The Crix is cookin’ now…

Variety reports the duo will take on the task with a script originally written by “The Mindy Project” writer Dave Stassen and “Mindy” cast member Ike Barinholtz with Sean Anders, John Morris, and director Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball, We’re The Millers) all doing subsequent re-writes. Ed Helms (“The Office”, The Hangover franchise) is executive producing, and it looks like New Line has all its ducks in a row with plans to start shooting in the spring of 2015.

Dwayne Johnson is going to be crazy busy for the next couple of years, what with two more films to shoot for the Journey To The Center Of The Earth franchise, disaster film San Andreas, and of course his role as Black Adam in Shazam (YAY!!). Hart’s wrapped on the sequel to this year’s hit Ride Along, and he has films like The Wedding Ringer and Get Hard (with Will Ferrell) on the way soon.

I love me some Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart’s a funny dude, so I’m looking forward to seeing these two pair up for some explosions, gunfire, and hijinks!

(And truth be told, I’m hoping for another scene like this to pop up.)

What do you think about this latest pair-up? Are you looking forward to seeing what these two crazy kids can do together or do they need a time-out?
