VIDEO: Shootings Near The Empire State Building: 2 Dead, 10 Shot

By August 24, 2012

America woke up to the sad news of another shooting spree. This time it was in Manhattan, in the midtown area near the Empire State Building. A man named Jeffery Johnson (53) who had been fired from his job about a year ago shot and killed one person and then others were injured in the shoot out with police that followed as he fled on foot. Reports are telling us that the shooter had a conflict with a former co-worker whom he shot three times. The second person killed was the shooter himself, killed by NYPD.

Bloomberg, held a press conference where he said, “He killed one person and 9 others were shot, and some may have been shot accidentally by police officers who responded.” This press conference has more information in it than any of the news reports I’ve seen so far.

We will learn more as the investigation unfolds.
