‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Final Trailer Revealed and It’s The Best One Yet

By September 28, 2016

Considering that it’s a spin-off to one of the most successful film franchises of all time, Warner Bros.’ marketing and promotional campaign has been noticeably understated for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them this year. Written by Harry Potter creator, J.K. Rowling, and with returning director David Yates at the helm, the film boasts an impressive cast, and offers to bring fans headfirst into a period and culture of the Wizarding World that they’ve never seen before – 1920s New York City.

With the film set to hit theatres in just a little less than two months from now as well, the studio has released the final trailer for the film this morning and we don’t think it’s much of a leap to call it the most insightful and best look at the film we’ve gotten yet.

Check it out for yourself below though:

In addition to the trailer, WB also released a brand new poster for the film as well, which once again puts a spotlight on its lead group of heroes:

Up until this point, character motivations for anyone other than the lead heroes (meaning Newt, Tina, Goldie, and Jacob) have been left mysteriously vague and unknown in all of the trailers and promotional moments for the film. This new trailer not only gives us some new looks at a number of Fantastic Beast‘s characters though, including Samantha Morton’s Mary Lou and Ezra Miller’s Credence, but also reveals quite a bit more when it comes to Colin Farrell’s Graves.

Where the other trailers have made it seem more like he’ll be just an Auror trying to stop Newt Scamander from unleashing any of his magical creatures upon the city, the new trailer reveals quite the opposite it seems, and Farrell looks like he’s going to be giving this Harry Potter spin-off a villain performance worthy of the Harry Potter world. The brief mention of Grindewald’s attacks in Europe as well, should be enough to make most Harry Potter fans out there even more giddy with excitement for this one.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to be released on November 18th.
