After 7 full years as writer, correspondent and brief host, John Oliver’s role at “The Daily Show” is finally coming to an end. Back in November, we reported on this bit of news and next week will mark the comedian’s last week at Comedy Central’s popular satirical news show. It was during the summer when Jon Stewart left for three months to direct his first film that Mr. Oliver stepped up to fill his seat.

During that time, not only did he prove he had the chops to handle such a position, he also caught the attention of someone important over at HBO. Officially signed on to star in similarly styled topical comedy series scheduled to start in 2014, John Oliver will offer hosting duties to the new yet to be titled show that will air weekly on Sunday nights.

Given his tenure at “The Daily Show”, I felt it was only right to showcase some of his best bits on the show. Check it!
