With the first half of Season 2 wrapping up in May, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead is headed for Comic-Con next week for a special presentation in Hall H. Series stars Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lorenzo James Henrie, Mercedes Mason, and Colman Domingo are all confirmed to be in attendance, alongside executive producer and showrunner Dave Erickson, executive producer Robert Kirkman, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer Dave Alpert, and special effects makeup supervisor and executive producer Greg Nicotero.
Below, you can check out some key art for the season’s second half, which should be on display throughout the San Diego Convention Center and the surrounding areas.
AMC is poised to have a major presence at Comic-Con this year, with Fear the Walking Dead, Preacher and the network’s flagship series, The Walking Dead, all scheduled for panels in the massive Hall H. There are also autograph sessions, press conferences, and the “Fear The Walking Dead – Abigail experience,” which invites fans to come aboard a branded yacht that will be docked at the Fifth Avenue Pier.
Fear the Walking Dead may not be scheduled to return until August, but you can get a sneak peek at what lies ahead for the cast with these two brand new images.
Admittedly, I haven’t watched any of Fear the Walking Dead‘s second season. From the moment it was announced, this series has always struck me as little more than a transparent attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the original series be throwing together a cheap spinoff, and the first season did little to change my mind.
However, I’ve heard that Season 2 has done a much better job of fleshing out the characters (no pun intended), and has taken numerous steps to differentiate this show from its predecessor, so I might have to give it another shot and see if it can hold my interest. I might even have time to get caught up before Fear the Walking Dead returns for the remaining episodes of Season 2 on Sunday, August 21, exclusively on AMC.
San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 21-24, and you can bet we’ll be covering the biggest news, announcements, trailers and more, right here at GeekNation.com.
