If you left the theater in November of 2012 after a screening of Skyfall just wanting more Bond, then you should already be excited by the fact that it’s being shot right now. This November, it will be coming to theaters. From the title reveal teasing us about the possibilities for the films of the franchise’s future being able to deal with the iconic enemy organization from its past, Spectre is in a unique place in movie history by welcoming the next set of Bond adventures with a new sense of purpose made possible by the widespread success of Skyfall.

Now, we finally get our first look at the next Bond film in the form of its first teaser trailer. See it below.

Interestingly enough, Spectre looks to be building greatly on the conclusion to Skyfall, with the MI6 headquarters in London sitting in ruin after Raoul Silva’s attack on M, and with Bond digging through a box of memories recovered from his childhood home that he tried so hard to forget. By potentially reaching back into the shadowy organization that plagued Connery’s Bond in the first few films from the 1960’s, the screenplay from John Logan, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade has to do an interesting balancing act, by maintaining the character development and demons of Bond himself while also, potentially, bringing SPECTRE into a new generation.

This film looks very tonally similar to Skyfall, and with the presence of Oscar winner Christoph Waltz as the apparent villain of the piece, then this could prove to be a very special James Bond experience. Spectre opens in theaters worldwide on November 6th, 2015. Be sure to keep it locked on GeekNation for any future developments.
