First Trailer For AMC’s ‘Preacher’ Released

By November 2, 2015

If you watched the new episode of The Walking Dead last night, you probably caught the first trailer for AMC’s upcoming adaptation of Preacher. If not, (First off, why not? The Walking Dead is awesome and you should totally check it out) you’re in luck because the network has officially released it on the interwebz. Check it out below, courtesy of AMC:

So, I’m going to admit that I don’t really know anything about the character or the story, so this is all kind of new to me. What I do know is that I absolutely love Dominic Cooper and think that this looks really interesting. I also like that the series was created by fans of the original material in Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin.

While we didn’t really get to see Jesse Custer’s powers (he’s instilled with the word of God, meaning he has the ability to command other people), what we did get was plenty of violence and gore. While I’m sure there’s more to the story and characters than that, for now it’s enough to pique my interest.

Preacher is set to premiere on AMC in 2016.
