First ‘X-Men Apocalypse’ Trailer Will Be Attached To ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

By November 11, 2015

As 2016 rapidly approaches, there are a few big blockbuster releases for next year that we have seen or heard little, or nothing, about. While films like Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad, have already had their trailers debut, we have yet to see any official footage from the likes of Captain America: Civil War and X-Men: Apocalypse. That’s all about to change.

It’s a given that the Civil War trailer would debut in front of The Force Awakens, given that both properties are owned by Disney. Now, in an exclusive over at Collider, writer Simon Kinberg has revealed that the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse will also debut in front of the juggernaut film.

I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.

Excuse me while I do a little happy dance right here at my desk! As if I wasn’t already excited enough to see Star Wars, the fact that the first trailers for two of my most anticipated films of next year will attached, is just piles of sweet, sweet icing on top of that glorious cake. I have seen the leaked Comic-Con footage and was impressed, even though the quality was poor and the sound was terrible (Yes, I realize that I shouldn’t support the leaks, but sometimes I just can’t help myself!). I am super excited to see actual footage on the big screen, exactly how it was meant to be seen. I’m have a feeling that Bryan Singer will cap off this trilogy with a bang, and I can’t wait to check it out.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.
