Grant Gustin Reveals The Strange Easter Egg From ‘The Flash’ That No One Has Noticed Yet

By August 18, 2016

The Flash is no stranger to Easter Eggs, whether it be teasing characters or storylines in the future seasons of the show way ahead of time, or simply nods and references to the Scarlet Speedster’s comic book origins. Usually, it’s pretty easy to notice when they show up and when they don’t, depending on how close of attention you’re paying anyways, but it looks like there’s been one recurring Easter Egg that no one has noticed yet.

Though, I will say that in all fairness to fans and viewers, this isn’t necessarily something they’d be keeping their eyes open for either.

During a recent interview with TV Insider, Grant Gustin revealed the strange and quirky Easter Egg from the show that no viewer has noticed yet, which the cast and crew apparently go out of their way to keep it going:

“No, not personal items, but no one seems to notice that we have a rubber duck that we’ve fit into almost every single scene in the police station. We have been doing it since early in Season 1. Sometimes it’s in an evidence bag that a cop is carrying.”

Yeah, in a show with constant comic book references and foreshadowing that can happen whenever Barry enters the Speed Force basically, I’m gonna go ahead and say that a rubber duck in the police station might have slipped through the cracks for even the most investigative of fans.

With The Flash set to return for its third season in just a few short months though, I’m sure some they’ll make sure to keep their eyes very open for whatever rubber ducks may be hiding on Joe’s desk or in evidence bags from now on.

The Flash will return with its third season on October 4th.
