Halle Berry Back As Storm For X-Men: Days Of Future Past

It seems the world’s a fan of doing big reveals on Twitter these days and X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer is no different when he made fangirls and fanboys VERY happy once again with a single tweet posted yesterday.

That’s right, darlings!

Halle Berry will be back in black as she returns to the X-Men family to reprise her role as Ororo Munroe, better known around the world as Storm.

Last seen seven years ago in X-Men: The Last Stand, it’s gonna be one hell of a party as Berry rejoins other returnees Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellan (Magneto), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Anna Paquin (Rogue) with James Marsden (Cyclops) rumored to be returning as well.

There are a couple of new kids on the X-block (so to speak) as one of my favorite actors EVER has also joined the cast!

Peter Dinklage (The Station Agent, Pete Smalls Is Dead, Game Of Thrones) is confirmed but Singer is being coy as to who Dinklage will play; speculation at this moment is he could be Puck (from Marvel’s Alpha Flight comics) whose size was shrunken by mystical forces but not his strength and fighting ability).

Either way, I don’t care who he plays because I know that Dinklage will CRUSH any role handed to him and am STOKED to know he’s involved.

A face you may not have heard of stateside yet (but you will soon) is French actor Omar Sy (The Intouchables, MicMacs) as he joins the cast under a cloud of mystery when he was also confirmed by Singer in a tweet but not his character (yes, I checked IMDB and it didn’t say there, either).

I am an impatient fangirl when it comes to awesome things so please step on it and give us some awesome things to look at in time for San Diego Comic-Con, Mr Singer (please and thank you).

I’ll be your best friend if you do…even if it’s just a wee 30-second smackerel of X-Men flavored goodness.

To keep up with what up, you can follow X-Men‘s fearless director on Twitter and to see who’s made the cut so far (as well as those rumored to return), you can hit the film’s IMDB page.

Let’s get snikt!
