There have been no updates on the condition of Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher since she suffered a cardiac event on Friday. But her former Millennium Falcon pilot co-star, who she revealed earlier this year she had had an affair with, is now speaking out.

Harrison Ford, who played his own iconic character of Han Solo in four Star Wars movies including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, shared a statement with People magazine about Fisher’s current health scare.

“I am shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend. Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends.”

Fisher was on her way back from London Friday, just 15 minutes from touching down, when she reportedly went into cardiac arrest. A paramedic who also was on the flight helped keep Fisher alive until the plane landed and other medical personnel could arrive.

Fisher was then rushed to a Los Angeles hospital where, at last reports, she was still in the intensive care unit.

Fisher and Ford appeared together in The Force Awakens, reprising their roles of Leia and Solo. While Ford did not return for Star Wars: Episode VIII, Fisher did, and her scenes for that movie – due in theaters next year – already have been filmed.

It’s not clear how her recovery will affect Star Wars: Episode IX, or if there were even plans to continue Leia’s character through the third film in the series.

Mark Hamill, who also appeared in The Force Awakens and played Luke Skywalker in the original film trilogy, already had shared his thoughts of support for Fisher on Twitter.

There have been no official reports on what Fisher suffered from, but some outlets have called it a heart attack. It also hasn’t been shared if her condition has since stabilized despite some reports made Friday that she had.
