HBO Releases New ‘True Detective’ Season 2 Trailer

The second season of HBO’s hit drama series “True Detective” is likely one of the most anticipated television events of the year, and the cable network has just released a new trailer to whet audience appetites even further. See it below.

Written and developed by playwright Nic Pizzolatto, the first season of the show starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, following a story over a period of 20 years as two former Louisiana State Police officers investigated a strange murder case. Nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series and Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Miniseries or Television Film, it ended up winning awards in a lot of technical categories, as well as various nominations and wins from different organizations for the principle cast members.

Season two follows a new cast in a new location, and concerns a detective and war veteran (played by Taylor Kitsch) discovering a crime scene that attracts the attention of other detectives (Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams), which also has some kind of involvement from a career criminal and entrepreneur (played by Vince Vaughn).
