New year, new you! (Throws up)

Look I’m not saying give up or anything. I’m just saying maybe start your new years gym resolution in April. We need to schedule this sh*t because January is like a WWE Royal Rumble at every fitness facility in America. (Stole that joke from a meme, not ashamed)

For those courteous and kind enough to keep your sedentary game strong or for those choosing to buy a home gym system and watch  Netflix while you run and cry…’s whats coming to Netflix this month: (via ScreenCrush)

January 1st -

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) - These all run together at this point. This is the second one.

Constantine (2005)- The one with Keanu, not the show. Heinous.

How to Change the World  (2015)

Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006) - Be honest, does anyone know which number in the series this is? Three? Thirty-Seven?

Journey to Le Mans (2014)

The Rundown (2003) - The Rock beats the sh*t out of Stiffler. *Workout Motivation

Smokin’ Aces 2: The Assassin’s Ball (2010) - The first movie was amazingly underrated. I don’t know what this is.

We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011)

January 4th -

Training Day (2001) – *Writer Pick!  King Kong ain’t got sh*t on the coolness of this movie. If you haven’t seen it. You must. By the way? No matter what Denzel Washington says DO NOT take drugs from that man.

January 5th -

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 10 (2015) - 10 Seasons? Seriously? I need to start watching this but I don’t want to fall in that “showhole” that commercial keeps warning us about. Sounds scary.

New Girl Season 4 (2015)

January 8th -

The Ladykillers (2004) - A movie about how to make Tom Hanks look like sh*t.

January 13th -

Parks and Recreation Season 7 (2015)

Degrassi: The New Class Season 1(2016)

The Last Five Years (2014)

Moonwalkers (2015) - I know nothing about this movie but you have to check out this synopsis - After failing to locate the legendary Stanley Kubrick, an unstable CIA agent (Ron Perlman) must instead team up with a seedy rock band manager (Rupert Grint) to develop the biggest con of all time-staging the moon landing. What the hell?

Occupied Season 1 (2015)

The Overnight (2015) - Really, really awkward. And funny. But seriously, uncomfortable. Like….deeply.

January 16th

Hyde Park on Hudson (2012)

January 17th

Z Nation Season 2 (2015)

January 19th

Curve (2015)

Words and Pictures (2013)

There you have it people of the year 2016! In all seriousness, I hope your year is spent fulfilling every hope and dream you have. But most importantly, I hope it’s spent checking your phone for updates from GeekNation. Hey, I have resolutions too.

Mike Holtz
Mike Holtz is just a guy looking for any excuse to talk movies and needs to be able to give people a legitimate reason to spend what they spend on popcorn each month. The Dad to a superhero little girl with another on the way, Mike's also written for a few cool websites and talked for a few more. Also, Mike cries like a school girl every time he watches 'Rocky.'
