Following the release of the first teaser trailer late last year, footage and news surrounding the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has been mostly quiet over the past few months. With the film’s release set for later this year though, and Potter creator, J.K. Rowling, releasing more and more details involving the world and setting of the film – it looks like Warner Bros. is getting ready to give Potter fans a new taste of the highly-anticipated film.

Along with the release of a new Suicide Squad sneak peek as well, MTV has announced the debut of some new, never-before-seen footage from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that will air during the this year’s broadcast of the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 10th. The film’s lead star, Eddie Redmayne, will reportedly be presenting the new sneak peek himself during the broadcast.

Set about seventy years before the events of the Harry Potter films, Fantastic Beasts follows Redmayne’s Newt Scamander, a magizoologit who travels to a 1920s New York City during his journeys, but runs into trouble when the briefcase containing his various assortments of magical creatures is opened, and they are released upon the Muggle-run world.

There’s no word on what the footage itself might contain, or even the size of it, but considering the brief glimpses of the film we’ve seen so far – I think Potter fans out there (myself included) will be more than happy to just see more from the upcoming spin-off film, which promises to show us a side of the Wizarding World that we’ve never seen before.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to hit theatres on November 18th.
