Last night, Preview Night opened at San Diego Comic-Con, offering fans and attendees their first look at this year’s exhibit hall floors and also offering them their first opportunities at buying and perchasing any toys or merch they’ve had their eyes on. However, it’s also revealed some official, interesting toys and merch for some of the upcoming superhero movies this year, including namely, DC’s highly-anticipated Suicide Squad.

Fans attending the convention this year can get the chance to see some of official Suicide Squad costumes and props, but Hot Toys may have just revealed an interesting possibility in Suicide Squad. In case it ends up being true as well, I’m going to go ahead and issue a SPOILER WARNING right now… just to be safe.

Birth.Movies.Death. spotted the new Hot Toys figure on the floor last night, which as you can see below, features Jared Leto’s Joker dressed up in his very own Batman suit. You can tell that it’s Leto’s version of the Joker as well, by the capped teeth and solid white skin.

Now, some of you might instantly be saying that this is just a cool, variant released in conjunction with the film, but it should be noted right now that all of Hot Toys’ other figures are known to be characters or costumes in the film, which would make the presence of this figure as just a SDCC exclusive or variant seem even stranger.

There’s even a smaller, cuter version of the figure for sale on the floor as well, which makes the possibility of this just being a one-off variant seem even less likely. Is it possible that we’re going to see Leto’s Joker suit up in his own Batman costume at some point in the film? It could certainly be an interesting twist in his plan to recover Harley Quinn. That’s for sure. Until then though, here’s to theorizing about it, at the very least.

Suicide Squad is set to hit theatres on August 5th.
