Ian McShane Says ‘Game of Thrones’ is Just “Tits and Dragons”

Warning: Minor Game of Thrones spoilers to follow…

Sometimes it’s nice to just see an actor cut through the bullshit every once in a while, and today, that actor is Ian McShane.

After revealing that his character in the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones will be bringing back a beloved character from the dead recently, the actor was apparently bombarded for “spoiling” the new season and a reveal of the show, which he didn’t take all that kindly to from the sounds of it.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, the actor revealed that he had experienced some backlash for his somewhat spoiler-ish comments, and then proceeded to sum up the show in the best way possible (keep in mind that I’m a total GoT fan when I say that):

“You say the slightest thing and the internet goes ape. I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a f—ing life. It’s only tits and dragons.”

Here’s the thing: I get why some fans were probably a little bit upset about this reveal, but at the same time, McShane never said who it was he was reviving and we still don’t even really know who it is he’s playing, when he’ll factor into the season, or what his actual role will be in the story. So yeah, hearing him call one of the best shows on television just “tits and dragons” is a pretty amazing thing to hear, and it’s even better when it’s coming from the man who brought Al Swearengen to life.

Season 6 of Game of Thrones will premiere on HBO on April 24th.
