Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis Team Up For ‘Keeping Up With The Joneses’

By March 17, 2014

Well, this could be interesting…and really, REALLY funny.

Separately, Zach Galifianakis and Jon Hamm have both shown that they can pull off either comedic or serious roles (if you haven’t seen Galifianakis in It’s Kind Of A Funny Story, you need to) and they’ve displayed natural chemistry on both “Saturday Night Live” (above) and “Between Two Ferns.” Now they want to team up for full-length feature film.

THR says these two are looking to join forces in Keeping Up With The Joneses, about a bored suburban couple who get some sexy and charming new neighbors who seem a little TOO put together. After some snooping, they find out their ridiculously good looking neighbors are undercover agents. We’re not sure which actor will be playing which character, but I can already tell it’s probably going to be a lot of fun to watch.

It seems FOX 2000 has found the right director in Greg Mottola as his track record – Paul, Superbad, Clear History (which Hamm starred in), and Adventureland – speaks for itself when it comes to successfully handling “buddy films.”

If you still doubt the comedy power of Galifianakis and Hamm, check out this episode of “Between Two Ferns” from 2008 (Editor’s note: Sorry for the autoplay!):

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold! What do you think about Galifianakis and Hamm doing a film together? Will they be able to sustain the comedy gold for more than three to six minutes?
