Everyone’s just sitting here…..waiting for Deadpool.

Fans aren’t necessarily blowing the doors off the joint this weekend or anything, and a panda is reaping all the benefits. Kung Fu Panda 3 looks to take the haul in its second week in a row, rolling it’s fat self in with a $5.3 million dollar friday and projected $20.3 million dollar weekend at a clip of 51% less than last week.

The star studded cast of the Coen brothers latest effort Hail, Caesar was only good enough for second place at a clip of $4.2 million Friday and $11 million for the weekend. Still yet, it’s more than the $10 million the studio projected according to Deadline. The shocker here is that the film apparently is only scoring a C- minus on Cinemascore, critics are still fans of the talented brothers however, throwing them a 79% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Somehow the newest Nicholas Sparks makes people die and cry adaptation The Choice is barely beating Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, with a $2.5 million Friday and a $5.5 million. But they both still play second fiddle to the never dying (damn straight) The Force Awakens and The Revenant.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is taking in a mere $2.1 million Friday and a $5.2 million dollar weekend. Deadline attributes this to the fact that females are splitting up between Pride and The Choice. Come on ladies! Nicholas Sparks makes you cry daily, but zombies and love don’t mix quite that often. (Yes, I remember Warm Bodies)

Hanging on and rounding out the Superbowl Sunday box office are (in order) The Finest Hours, Ride Along 2, Dirty Grandpa and The Fifth Wave. What will you be seeing this weekend, GeekNation?
