Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, and The Rock Return in New ‘Fast 8’ Set Video

By May 27, 2016

After receiving a franchise resurgence several years ago, and following its most recent, bittersweet farewell to Paul Walker, the Fast and Furious franchise is already set to return to the big screen once again next year in director F. Gary Gray’s Fast 8, which will feature the return of a number of the franchise’s main stable actors as well as the introduction of several new characters and villains.

Following the release of the first image of Charlize Theron’s villain in the film as well, a new behind-the-scenes set video from Fast 8 has been released, which features the return of Dom’s (Vin Diesel) main crew, as well as Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, and The Rock.

Check out the video below:

In addition to the returning actors and Theron’s villain, the film will also introduce Game of Thrones actor, Kristofer Hivju, as one of Theron’s main henchman, and Scott Eastwood as a new protege-in-training for Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody, who made quite the introduction in Furious 7 last year.

Set to make a return to New York City this time around, Fast 8 has some fairly nice hype going behind it right now, after the last few films in the franchise had been well-received, in addition to having F. Gary Gray at the helm this time around, with the filmmaker coming off of his critical acclaim last year for his work on Straight Outta Compton. I’ll be honest though. I’d watch anything that either Kurt Russell or The Rock do nowadays, whether it has the words “Fast” or “Furious” in its title or not.

Fast 8 is set to hit theatres on April 14th, 2017.
