As you know by now, the teaser trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked Wednesday night even though it wasn’t supposed to debut until next Tuesday’s episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” which prompted Marvel to release it early. But that doesn’t mean fans won’t get a special treat next week after all.
Marvel has just announced that even more footage from the superhero sequel will debut with the next episode of their ABC series, but without specifying just how much more we’ll see. If we had to venture a guess, Marvel will likely show the party scene that was played at Comic-Con where all The Avengers are hanging out and trying to pick up Thor’s hammer in Tony Stark’s pad. But they could show off anything.
In addition, the studio has announced that the following Tuesday, November 4th, ABC will broadcast a TV special called “Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!” at 9pm ET/PT where there will be “even more Avengers: Age of Ultron goodness.”
We’re betting they’re not going to show too much more from the sequel throughout that Marvel special, but there will probably be some behind the scenes footage from the set and maybe some unseen concept art to reveal. One thing missing from the teaser trailer was a tease of Paul Bettany as Vision, but Marvel is probably saving that for whenever the second trailer arrives.
For those who haven’t kept up, here’s the official synopsis for The Avengers: Age of Ultron:
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
The internet is still abuzz with all the wild stuff that was shown in the teaser trailer. There’s even a cool theory about a quick shot in the trailer where Steve Rogers appears to be attending some kind of dance back in his own time period. But rather than there being time travel in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, we’re betting it’s some kind of hallucination brought about by the powers of Scarlet Witch.
Anyway, if the footage shown during “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!” ends up online, we’ll definitely be posting it here, so stay tuned.
