New Dead Space 3 Gameplay Footage!

By September 27, 2012

It must be Christmas, because a 17 minute walkthrough video narrated by Visceral Games’ Creative Director and Senior Audio Artist for Dead Space 3 has emerged.

For those of you not in the know, a “walkthrough” is precisely what it sounds like; it walks you through sections of a game and most times will show you where hidden goods are as well as how to get out of the chapter/section of map alive.

If you’ve been under a rock, here’s the storyline for Dead Space 3:

“After crash-landing on a hostile new planet known as Tau Volantis, hero Isaac Clarke discovers that this planet could be the key to ending the Necromorph infestation. In his violent hunt for answers, Isaac must battle subzero, icy conditions and deadly, highly-evolved enemies including all-new Necromorphs, gigantic boss creatures and even misguided zealot humans. Fortunately, Isaac is not alone. Players can choose to team-up with a friend anytime in the game with the fully integrated drop-in/drop-out co-op feature. Players that choose to take down the terror together will experience additional story details and gameplay mechanics only found when playing as the co-op character, Earthgov Sergeant John Carver.”

Now that THAT’S out of the way, I can tell you this most recent walkthrough finds our hero Isaac Clarke on a ship called the Eudora, and of course, finds remnants of life from over one hundred years ago.

You ready? It’s loud and scary and AWESOME.

As a longtime fan of this franchise, I cannot WAIT for DS3 to launch but unfortunately must wait till February 5, 2013 (BOO) but it’s the day after my birthday (YAY) so it’ll make for a great gift from one of youse (hint hint double hint).

Dead Space 3 drops February 5, 2013 for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. For more info and updates, hit the official website and follow them on Twitter (@DeadSpace)!
