New Set Photo From ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Contains A Look at The Millennium Falcon

It’s an extremely slow news day so far, so I figured I’d go ahead and share a new set photo with you since it’s from Star Wars: Episode VII and you guys clearly want to know everything you can about this movie.

George Osbourne, the United Kingdom’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, recently visited the set of the film at Pinewood Studios and snapped a photo with him, director JJ Abrams, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, and a little robot you may recognize:

If you look at the top left of the photo, you can see the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon being erected in the background (the circular design matches the photo at the top of this page). This is Abrams’ second confirmation that the Falcon will actually be in the movie, following his photo of the Dejarik board when he addressed the leaked pics from the set exactly one week ago.

Osbourne also confirmed what most fans already knew: that another Star Wars film will also film in the UK. This isn’t a surprise, considering Disney has already rented out space at Pinewood for years in anticipation of this franchise’s renewal, but we can assume that this announcement refers to Gareth Edwards’ spinoff movie, since that will be the next Star Wars movie to shoot after Abrams finishes up Episode VII.

My question now is since this photo came out a week after the last set photo, will Abrams and company continue to dole out small looks at the production like this until the first trailer arrives? If they throw the fan community a bone, it could inspire the scoop hunters to back off a little bit. But then again, this is Star Wars and the internet we’re talking about here, so maybe not.
