New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Set Photos Takes The Film to New York

By September 27, 2016

Spider-Man: Homecoming just recently wrapped production in Atlanta, GA a few days ago, but that doesn’t mean filming for the Marvel and Sony co-production is done, with principal photography simply moving from Marvel’s go-to production spot (Infinity War and Black Panther do have to shoot there too after all) to Peter Parker’s hometown stomping grounds.

Tom Holland himself celebrated the move on Instagram recently, posting a photo from the set of him standing in costume as Spider-Man with his mask off. If you didn’t already think that Holland basically looked as close to a real life Peter Parker as you could get too, just wait until you see this.

The new set photos don’t stop there though, with several new images and videos (via CS) from the NYC production showcasing Holland’s Peter Parker having a bit of a hilarious wardrobe malfunction:

The “I Survived a Trip to NYC” T-Shirt that Peter is sporting in one of these photos, along with those pink pajama pants, continues to showcase the kind of fun, and witty humor that Homecoming seems to be bursting with. This is the kind of unfortunate situations that Peter Parker gets into all the time in the comics as well, and to see a film so wholeheartedly embracing the fun and heart of the source material here, just continues to raise our excitement levels towards the film. We didn’t really think that was possible anymore either.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theatres on July 7th, 2017.
