Seriously is it just me or is James Franco in everything? Is there anything he doesn’t do? A brand new teaser trailer just dropped for a mini series based on the Stephen King book 11.22.63 (I know, not the catchiest title ever). The series…like everything else features James Franco as a High School History teacher trying to travel back into time to stop the assassination of JFK. Guess what? It doesn’t go so well because IT NEVER DOES! Do these people watch movies? It never works out. Ever. Also, you can’t triple stamp a double stamp.

Anyways 11.22.63 is right in line with other Stephen King adaptations coming in as an 8 part series. I love the way his adaptions do this. It reminds me of those good ole’ cheesy King adaptations from back when. They weren’t always the best but they all made for great rainy day viewing when you had 13 hours to watch one story and for some reason wanted to.

Enough babbling from me…. here’s the trailer:

Obviously this show is about James Franco doing his best version of Tom Green’s classic “The Backwards Man”. He can walk backwards fast as you can (So sorry). In all seriousness I can’t wait for this. James Franco’s acting talent is actually underrated in my opinion. Even in some not-so-great films he has delivered some pretty good performances. You owe it to yourself to check out his effort in True Story if you get the chance.

Oh, did I mention that this is produced by Stephen King and JJ (mother-effin’) Abrams? (after the gloriousness of Star Wars the title is necessary). Abrams involvement speaks volumes alone and I can’t wait to check this series out. 11.22.63 also stars Chris Cooper and Josh Duhamel and will be Directed by Kevin Macdonald. The series is a Hulu Original and will premiere on President’s Day. So I guess I have to get Hulu now. Stay tuned to Geek Nation for more updates!

Mike Holtz is just a guy looking for any excuse to talk movies and needs to be able to give people a legitimate reason to spend what they spend on popcorn each month. The Dad to a superhero little girl with another on the way, Mike's also written for a few cool websites and talked for a few more. Also, Mike cries like a school girl every time he watches 'Rocky.'
