New ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Poster Brings Together the Film’s Heroes

By March 10, 2016

Despite the fact that I haven’t really been wowed by any of the film’s official trailers, and word of mouth hasn’t been all that positive, I’m still looking forward to seeing X-Men: Apocalypse in a few short months. As a proud fan of Days of Future Past, seeing how Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg are planning on ending their newest X-Men trilogy is too enticing of an idea for me not to be excited by it.

After releasing a villains-heavy poster a few days ago as well, Twentieth Century Fox has released an all-new poster for the film online today, this time focusing on the film’s main heroes.

Check out the latest poster below:

Okay, the design of the Horsemen poster seemed to work because all of the characters are actually being manipulated and controlled by Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse in the film, but here, the design just seems awkward. The blending of all of the characters isn’t that great, and unless you’re Ant-Man, I have a hard time liking movie posters with white backgrounds.

After the mostly disappointing Captain America: Civil War movie posters though, I haven’t really fallen in love with any of these recent superhero movie posters. Following the spectacular, tongue-in-cheek marketing campaign for Deadpool though, I guess it’s hard to really stand out from the crowd at this point.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 26th.

They have screwed this franchise and its character origin stories up so badly, what further harm can they do?
