Opening Scene of ‘Casino Royale’ Awesomely Recreated in LEGO Form

Though he may have his detractors, Daniel Craig’s performance as James Bond has never been as…blocky…as it is here. The AV Club points us to an excellent recreation of the opening sequence of Martin Campbell’s superb 2006 Bond reboot Casino Royale done entirely in LEGO form. It’s sort of amazing that using the film’s audio tracks and pairing them with such goofy-looking LEGO characters can successfully recreate the drama of that tense opening scene, but after a minute or so, these bricks become as real as watching Craig himself on screen. If we’re lucky, these guys are already hard at work recreating the epic Madagascar parkour chase that takes place shortly after this scene in the movie. THAT would be something to see.
