On episode 102 of Killer POV, your hosts Rob Galluzzo (Icons Of Fright), Elric Kane (Inside Horror) and Rebekah McKendry (Fangoria) take a trip back to William Malone’s House On Haunted Hill! But first, the latest horrors! Rob experienced the wild ‘Day Of The Animals,’ the David Hess directed Santa killer slasher ‘To All A Goodnight’ and ‘[Rec]4.’ Bekah reports back on ‘Maggie’ and ‘The Witch,’ while Elric checked out HBO’s ‘Tales Of The Grim Sleeper,’ Steven Spielberg’s ‘Duel’ and ‘The Pit!’ Then we welcome very special guest William Malone!

The director behind ‘House On Haunted Hill,’ ‘Parasomnia,’ ‘Creature’ and episodes of ‘Tales From The Crypt,’ ‘Masters Of Horror’ and ‘Freddy’s Nightmares’ stops by to discuss his Kickstarter campaign for his new ambitious horror fantasy ‘Thallium’s Box!’ But we delve way back to the beginning of his career working for Don Post Studios, helping sculpt the mask that eventually became the Michael Myers mask, his memorabilia collection which includes the original Robbie The Robot, working with Klaus Kinski and developing a project with H.R. Giger! Kick back and enjoy this fun, candid chat with director William Malone!

I have just started listening and im only 20 mins in but I gotta say I totally remember Ryan laughing at the goat acting but I had forgot what the film was? so now I know the Goat scene movie, The Witch, I can sleep tonight now 😉

    • RobertGalluzzo

That goat is going to be a big star!

      • Dennis Atherton

You heard it here on KillerPov first 😉

  • RobertGalluzzo

Alright, let’s talk collections since Bill Malone’s personal collection sounds amazing. Does anyone have any cool props or memorabilia from movies? I have a few replicas – the “samhain” Michael Myers mask based on the Part 2 design, a few Freddy gloves (one autographed by Robert Englund), the Phantasm ball. The only real props I have are a Dexter badge and (for better or for worse) a giant picture of Julie Benz from her funeral scene in Dexter! What about you guys?

    • RobertGalluzzo

Oh! And I have Joe Carroll’s book “The Gothic Sea” from THE FOLLOWING!

      • Shad Youngblood

Is there anything inside the book, or is it just blank?

        • RobertGalluzzo

Just a sleeve they printed out for me. I have it on the Bob Randall book THE FAN, which is one of my absolute favorites!

          • Shad Youngblood

That’s great! I was secretly hoping someone had written it though. They actually published some Richard Castle novels, so it wasn’t completely impossible.

    • Dennis Atherton

Its not from the movie but I have a cool 3d hanging celling artwork promo type thing from the release of Evil dead 2 that hung in the Video stores in 87. Its 28 yrs old and Its really cool. I think you would love it. Ill post it up on twitter for you to see

Glad the new slim line show isn’t curtailing the circuitous conversation ,love how half forgotten titles pop up! My favourite movie podcast, ramble on!

  • Shad Youngblood

I’m so jealous of Malone’s collection. He should open a museum next to Jump Cut and charge admission. I’ve heard that story about Klaus Kinski before and I can’t imagine having to work with him. Great episode and glad you’re not shortening them!

  • David Watson

I have to say, that despite not being a huge fan of Malone’s work, the podcast was great as usual! I found his stories completely engaging and I definitely want to go back and revisit his films! Thanks again for the podcast, guys!

  • Dennis Atherton

Great fun again, I live in the UK and ive gotta say I did not download Parasomnia 🙂 That was quite sad to hear everyone else did

Since listening last time I have now seen Abby, I just dont know what to say! Its kinda amazing that it exists and I’m really glad ive seen it
    Cheers guys
