It’s the 79th episode of Pass The Effin’ Remote, which means we’re right around the corner from wooden teeth and regular doses of Metamucil in our diets! When discussing their weekends, Aaron recommends not getting drunk and using the internet. Jack shares his experience going to a “Gravity Falls” season 2 party.

News highlights this week include: Rupert Murdoch retracting his $150 billion bid to acquire Time Warner, the cast members of “The Big Bang Theory” now make way too much money, Elisabeth Moss and Vince Vaughn are now in talks to be added to the cast for season 2 of “True Detective”, Marvel has trademarked Squirrel Girl for an upcoming TV or movie appearance, Max Landis is working on a TV adaptation of the “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency” novels and due to the success of Sharknado 2: The Second One, Tara Reid has released a new perfume aptly titled “Shark.”

A quick look to the weekend ahead finds “Breaking Bad” returning to AMC as there currently isn’t any “Mad Men” and both “Halt And Catch Fire” and “Turn” have not brought in the viewers as they had hoped. Cinemax is premiering its new scripted series starring Clive Owen called “The Knick.” Being Cinemax, it’ll still probably have a lot of sex, right?

This week’s LOSERS: “Welcome To Sweden”, “Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel”, “Nathan For You”, “Running Wild With Bear Grylls”, “The Strain” and Toyota’s godawful “Swagger Wagon” commercial. This week’s WINNERS: “Manhattan”, “Drunk History”, “Colbert Report”, “Real Time With Bill Maher”, “Wilfred”, “The Quest” and the season 4 premiere of “Hell On Wheels”.
