In this action-packed episode, filmmaker Gareth Evans (THE RAID: REDEMPTION, THE RAID 2) throws Adam and Joe over a 5 story stairwell while Arwen takes part in a high speed car chase in the parking lot outside. Find out how a Welsh kid who loved Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan found fame and glory in the Indonesian film scene and single handedly raised the bar on indie-action films so high that it will likely be another 20 years before anyone else can even touch it. Humble, honest, funny, and talented… after these 2+ hours you will undoubtedly become as massive of a fan of Gareth as we are. And if you pay attention, you just might learn a trick or two about how to pull off the seemingly impossible without spending an obscene amount of money along the way. Your excellent “Viewer Mail” is answered, there is almost a “Guilty Sequel” but not quite, and most importantly… the inspiration hits hard, is shot in perfect focus, and is edited to look as painful as possible in this explosive episode that could have easily gone on for another 2 hours.

When Gareth Evans comes looking for people to bounce off of a staircase, the fans who donated to the cause will be spared.

What more can be said about THE RAID 2 other than it’s a phenomenal piece of work. I’m so glad Gareth is still working on original projects and I can’t wait to see what he does next.

  • DudeMan

Amazing cast as usual – but I gotta ask – was Adam hittin’ the cough syrup a little heavy? Dude you sounded hammered!

    • Adam Green

Perhaps we failed to mention in this particular episode but I’ve been shooting Season 2 of Scary Sleepover for the past few weeks and will still be shooting it for the next month or two on random nights. So when we recorded this I had been awake for at least 2 days and was already getting sick. Though both of us tend to work many days straight every week (just the way it goes) typically we can mask the exhaustion, but when you’re the one on camera all night, doing press interviews all day (MARROW is starting to release in more countries now), and then recording a podcast- your voice can only take so much.

Absolutely can’t wait for Blister & to learn more about it! Gareth Evans is my hero & thanks for a wonderful interview 🙂

  • arturo

Great interview, looking forward to Blister, then maybe he will finish of The Raid trilogy?

Adam What’s the chance of you attending Texas Frightmare end of April?

    • Adam Green

No idea as it’s very far away and I don’t know my exact production schedule for Spring/Summer just yet. But Texas Frightmare also hasn’t asked me yet either- so for now it’s a non-issue. I typically don’t do conventions unless I am promoting something new coming out (since I’m one of the only ones who doesn’t charge fans to meet me or get my autograph/picture it’s just too hard to keep stepping away from what I’m working on and fly to every place that invites me- as much as I wish I could always say “yes”) so chances are probably kind of slim that I’ll do any appearances until the end of next year. Of course that could always change though. We’ll see what happens!

    • Joe Lynch

Oh what am I chopped liver?

Yeah, I mean, I’d do that, but he can’t get a fucking word in edgewise.

    • Joe Lynch

Thanks! We take pride in our work!
