On Sunday July 16, 2017 the world lost a master filmmaker, our genre lost one of its most profound voices, and so very many of us lost a dear friend. George A. Romero (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, CREEPSHOW) was so much more than just the “godfather of zombies,” he was the original pioneer of independent cinema and the artist who showed us all the way. Sit back, listen, and reflect as Adam and Joe pay their respects and honor one of their greatest heroes, one of their most generous champions, and one of their most gracious mentors. Including tributes from past MOVIE CRYPT guests, sound bytes from George himself, and more… this is us saying farewell the best way we know how.

In loving memory of George A. Romero (February 2, 1940 – July 16, 2017).

  • Thanks for doing this episode. I was hoping he would have his own podcast like you did for Wes Craven. Very sad, but very cool. Your level of fandom has always been my favorite aspect of this podcast and your films. Sorry you lost a friend. You guys are good dudes. “Stay scared.”

  • Great show, guys! George would have loved everything said. It was an honor to be a part of it.

I will always remember that Rock and Shock panel. It was a life defining fanboy, and fangirl moment for everyone in that room.
