See The X-Men, Avengers, Spider-Man, and More Team Up in Awesome Fan Trailer for ‘Ultimate Alliance’

It’s 2014 and you’re reading a site called GeekNation, so I’ll assume that most of you are familiar with the rights issues between Marvel and the other various Hollywood studios that prevent a no-holds-barred, utterly insane team-up movie featuring all of the major characters from the pages of Marvel’s comic books. But when it comes to fan videos, you can throw the legalities out the window and let the cinematic superheroes go at it in one giant (fake) movie. That’s exactly what the trailer for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance does (courtesy of AV Club), and the results are actually pretty awesome:

Blade, The Fantastic Four, X-Men, The Avengers, Ant-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy all working together to take down Galactus, Thanos, and Doctor Doom? The word “epic” has pretty much lost all meaning in this day and age, but man – if this were to actually happen? Totally epic.

Did anyone else notice that Garret Hedlund from TRON: Legacy is thrown in there for some reason? I have no idea why he’s in there, but his presence certainly wouldn’t be enough to get me to avoid watching this movie if it ended up miraculously bypassing every law in the book and hit theaters later this year.

What do you think about the trailer? Thanks to YouTube user SouperboyX (his real name is Kevin Dwyer) for putting this together.
