Fans who attended Marvel’s annual Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con were treated to the first look at Spider-Man: Homecoming. But the rest of the world has been patiently awaiting a glimpse at the reboot.

The wait is almost over, as sources have told ComicBook.com the first trailer for the film will be attached to Rogue One.

Although the Star Wars anthology film is slated to open Dec. 16, there’s a good chance the Homecoming trailer will show up online a few days prior.

Spider-Man and Star Wars might seem like strange bedfellows, but one thing to keep in mind is that despite Homecoming being a Sony Pictures release, the studio partnered with Marvel for the reboot. This was part of the same deal that allowed Spider-Man to swing by in Captain America: Civil War – and the Marvel and Star Wars films are both under the Disney umbrella.

With hopes to use the character in future films of their own, Marvel is keenly invested in the success of the new Spider-Man franchise, and pairing it up with Rogue One presents an opportunity to to introduce the superhero adventure alongside one of the year’s biggest releases, ensuring maximum exposure.

Footage from the upcoming reboot was well-received in San Diego, with reports indicating a vibe that resembled the John Hughes films of the 1980s, a teenage comedy where the protagonist just so happens to be a superhero.

Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker for Homecoming, which also stars Michael Keaton as The Vulture, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. It also has a supporting cast that includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Donald Glover, Hannibal Burress, Tony Revolori and Laura Harrier.

Directed by Jon Watts, fans can expect Spider-Man: Homecoming to swing into theaters on July 7.
