That’s right, darlings.
The Generalissimo himself, Stanley Martin Lieber aka American comic book writer, editor, actor, producer, publisher, television personality, former president/chairman of Marvel Comics and all-around badass known as Stan Lee turns 90 this Friday, December 28th.
Lee’s lifetime of work includes timeless characters created (with cats like Jack Kirby) in an amazing universe including Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, X-Men, Guardians of The Galaxy and Daredevil as well as quotable lines like “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Some of Lee’s most memorable accolades include his inductions into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall Of Fame in 1994 and Jack Kirby Hall Of Fame in 1995. Marvel’s commemoration of Lee’s 65 years with said company by publishing a series of one-shot comics in 2006 starring Lee himself meeting and interacting with many of his co-creations like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Thing, Silver Surfer and Doctor Doom and featured short pieces by such comics creators as Joss Whedon (who went on to direct this year’s summer blockbuster hit The Avengers) and Fred Hembeck as well as reprints of classic Lee-written adventures.

Not only has nearly every one of his Marvel creations been turned into tv shows, movies and video games, Lee himself is a much sought after cameo appearance for every fanboy/fangirl director that ever lived for the main reason that you just KNOW if the Generalissimo appears in a film, sage advice, laughs or a relatable comparison to one of his many relatable supers is around the corner.
Not one to ever slow down or shy away from the new world, Lee launched his own website, YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter pages known as Stan Lee’s World Of Heroes and currently features fun stuff shows like StanCo Real Life Toys!, Academy Of Heroes, Bad Days, Stan’s Rants, Adrienne Curry’s Super Fans, Fan Wars With Jace Hall, With Great Power, Geek DIY and of course, the ever popular Cocktails With Stan. GeekNations own Clare Kramer was a guest on a recent episode, check it out!
At the end of September of this year, Lee underwent a surgical operation to have a pacemaker installed, telling the media he did this “to insure that he would live for 90 more years.” With his wife of 65 years by his side, I’m pretty sure he had some adamantium injected into his system, too.

So what do you get for the man who has everything? A “Happy Birthday, Stan!” campaign over Twitter, of course! It’s only fitting to make the man I like to call “Papa Stan” a trending topic on his 90th, right?
Virtual birthday cards, tribute video wishes, hand drawn awesomeness…all are welcome and encouraged! Here’s how you can send Stan your birthday goodness!
On Friday, be sure to send your birthday love to @therealstanlee and be sure to include the hashtag “#Happy90th” in your tweet; it’s as simple as that!
Now remember when sending your birthday love to @therealstanlee on twitter, don’t forget the hashtag “#Happy90th” in your tweet!
Let’s make this the best birthday EVER!
