Following the official crossover announcement a few weeks ago, and a cool, comic book callback poster last week, the first promo for CBS’ Supergirl and The Flash crossover has been released, featuring our brief first glimpses of footage at the meeting between the Scarlet Speedster and the Maiden of Might.

Picking up with Barry Allen entering into an alternate dimension, the episode titled “World’s Finest” will follow him as he and Kara Danvers work together to not only return Barry to Century City, but to also defeat a villainous duo causing mayhem in National City.

Check out the first promo below:

Here’s the episode’s official synopsis:

“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”

Coming from someone who couldn’t make it past the pilot episode of Supergirl, despite Melissa Benoist’s magnetic presence onscreen, but has kept up to date on The Flash every episode, I’m looking forward to checking out this crossover. Considering Supergirl‘s possible connection to the Arrow and Flash worlds had remained a mystery for several months as well, it’ll be interesting to see how these two strong characters are able to interact and help each other.

It doesn’t hurt that both Benoist and Gustin are two of the most charismatic leads on television right now either, which should help to boost the crossover’s quality with its onscreen talent alone.

The Flash and Supergirl crossover will air on CBS on Monday, March 28th.
