This certainly makes it seem so.

This. Sounds. Awesome.
Looks like Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is moving full steam ahead with its Inhumans plans, and Daisy Johnson has the new costume to prove it. Chloe Bennet, who started the series as a hacker named Skye has watched her character evolve over the last couple of seasons into the super-powered Quake. She debuted her character’s new look in the LA Times. Check it out here:
The outfit is very reminiscent of the one that Quake has in the comic books, right down to the bracers, which in this incarnation are going to be used to help her channel her powers. Which is exactly what costume designer Ann Foley was going for:
It’s about strength. She feels very empowered in it…. That’s what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me. I wanted to stay true to some of the designs I saw in the comics. In the style lines, I wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the Quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit.
It was really, really fun to put it on. With the inner geek in me — and growing up with six brothers — I was never really interested in being the princess. I was more into being someone who kicked … and was a superhero. So, that was a dream come true. It was cool to be a part of the process in helping to design the outfit.
I like the look, although it’s really not all that outside the box. It looks like something that Black Widow or Maria Hill would wear, which makes for great continuity, I guess. So far, S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn’t gone too crazy in regards to costumes, but then, given that they’re just now really delving into the superhero side of things, that’s completely understandable. I am more interested in seeing Quake in action than I am to see what she’s wearing, however. Season two of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. more than made up for the shortcomings of season one and I am excited to see what’s in store now that the super-powered wall has been breached. Bring on the Secret Warriors!
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to premiere on Tuesday September 29, 2015.
