Netflix has set the table for its next Marvel series: “Iron First.” It debuts just in time for St. Patrick’s Day binging on March 17.
Mike Colter makes short work of some goons in this first clip from Marvel’s upcoming superhero series.
With Daredevil season two set to premiere near the end of this month, and after making his onscreen introduction at the end of last year…
After making his introduction to the Marvel TV universe late last year in Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage is preparing for his own Netflix series set to premiere sometime later this year, and it looks like we might finally know when. Colter has been fairly busy over the past few months filming the series with his cast mates including a returning Rosario Dawson, Simone Missick, Frank Whaley, and more.
The series itself, which has been called a slow burn, crime thriller, both like and unlike its two Marvel predecessors, promises to be yet another exciting new outing from the Marvel television division, who just last year gave us arguably two of the best superhero adaptations of all time. If not, the best.
Like his introduction however, Netflix may have just revealed the premiere date of Luke Cage through Jessica Jones, as the latter’s official Twitter account released the following image, teasing a possible November premiere date for the follow-up series:

With Daredevil and Jessica Jones already receiving second season orders, and the former’s sophomore outing set to premiere in March, how Luke Cage fits into the timeline and continuity of the other two shows will be interesting to behold. His introduction was almost perfectly done in my opinion in Jessica Jones, giving him enough set up and character development for audiences to feel a connection to him going into his standalone series this year, without taking away at all from its lead female heroine.
The November release window makes sense as well, considering Netflix’s 2015 release plan with Jessica Jones and Daredevil, although as most Cage fans might agree – it certainly would have been cool if it had gotten a Christmas release.
Luke Cage may or may not premiere on Netflix in November.
