‘The Flash’ Season 3 Images Bring Back Jay Garrick

By September 28, 2016

Barry Allen won’t have to wait very long to face the consequences of his actions in The Flash season 2 finale at the beginning of the upcoming third season, with “Flashpoint” taking precedent over all other storylines to start. As he sees not only the pros and cons of his alternate reality, Barry must also figure out a way to restore the old timeline as soon as he can, before he forgets hie entire life before the alternate reality was created, and loses his Flash powers forever.

We already know that the season three premiere is going to introduce Wally West as Kid Flash, but it looks like he won’t be the only heroic speedster set to make an appearance alongside Barry Allen in the beginning of the third season.

Some new images from the season’s second episode, titled “Paradox,” have been released, and they seem to tease the return of John Wesley Shipp’s Jay Garrick, who was revealed at the end of the second season. Check out the images for yourself below:

In addition, the images also give us our first look at Tom Felton’s Julian, a character introduced in the alternate reality, who works in the Central City PD CSI department alongside Barry it looks like, though they don’t appear to like each other very much. Knowing Barry and his occasionally cocky nature though, we can’t imagine why he’d ever dislike him.

The official episode description for “Paradox” was revealed as well, which you can check out below. Suffice it to say, it looks like Barry might not be as prepared for the dream reality he has created for himself as he thought he was. Surprise, surprise.

THE AFTERMATH — Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#302). Original airdate 10/11/2016.

The Flash season 3 will premiere on the CW on October 4th.
