‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ Trailer Teases the Fantasy Action Prequel

By March 22, 2016

I’ll be honest, after Snow White and the Huntsman I was not interested in returning to that onscreen world, in the slightest. However, when the prequel was announced to be focusing entirely on Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman, arguably the best part of the original film, I began to grow a little hope in the follow-up film.

When the cast was then filled out with Emily Blunt, a returning Charlize Theron, and Jessica Chastain, three of the best actresses working today, The Huntsman: Winter’s War became more promising then it even had the right to be.

Now, a new trailer for the film has been released, revealing The Huntsman’s origins, and the conflict between Blunt and Theron’s sister Queens. Check out the latest trailer for the film below:

Honestly, the action looks well-done, and Hemsworth seems to be maintaining the same charm and charisma he had in the original film. Both Blunt and Theron seem to be matching each other when it comes to the whole “over-the-top” evil Queen thing, although I don’t how I feel about those black tar tentacles that Theron’s character seems to be showing off near the end. Here’s to hoping Winter’s War manages to live up to the talent of its cast though.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War is set to hit theatres on April 22nd.
