The Punisher’s Costume Revealed in New ‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Poster

Out of all of the exciting new additions fans can look forward to in the upcoming second season of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix, Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher is likely the most anticipated for a majority of the fans out there. After a number of misused and disappointing onscreen adaptations, Bernthal’s iteration promises to be the best and most faithful version of the character yet.

Up until this point as well, the only real clothing we’ve seen the character in is some generic jacket and black t-shirt, with the character’s iconic white painted skull missing from all footage and marketing materials for the new season. That is, until now, at least.

Netflix has revealed our first look at the character in his iconic comic book costume online today, with a new poster for the upcoming season. Check it out below:

Also featured in the poster are the costumed versions of Matt Murdock as Daredevil (have I mentioned how much better this new costume looks?) and Elodie Yung’s Elektra, which we’ve already seen briefly in some of the previous trailers and posters for the season.

The Punisher costume itself looks like a solid, and new version of the comic book look, darker and a bit rougher than the actual costume itself or from some of the previous adaptations, although the same can be said for the show as a whole. There’s no word on how long we’ll have to wait to see the skull itself show up in the new series, but it’s likely that the creative team will probably drag the transformation out for a majority of the season, similar to Matt Murdock’s transition in the first. If this is what we can look forward to seeing in action though, it might just be worth the wait this time around.

Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil will premiere on Netflix on March 18th.
